Project Started

For those of you who are customers of InvenManger's Event Calendar Registration DNN Module, most of you are aware that it appears InvenManager went out of business. Most of us went scrambling trying to find alternative solutions, myself included. Unfortunately nothing seems to fit the bill, and worse yet those that even came close, had no import routine so all the existing data would be lost. None of the options available seemed worth the aggravation. So I decided to make my own! A custom ECR that mimics most (if not all) the features that the existing ECR did, and update its look and behavior while I am at it, trying to give it a more modern feel.

I will  endeavor to maintain this running BLOG to keep all who are interested up-to-date with my progress.

Today is the day the project was started, and it was a busy day. I've created the shell of the Module, which in-it-of-itself is not much. But I have incorporated my global ClassLibrary which offers tons of my pre-written code that I use across most of my modules.

Since this is a part-time project, I hope to get in as much coding as I can to get a working module as fast as possible.

So far so good.
