My Registration Page (Cont...)

Ok, still working on this page as it has a lot of little components to it.

The "End User" view of this page is completed, basically the same as the "Editor" view except that the administration options are removed, listed below:

  • Change All Records Below To
  • Changing Of Individual Attendance Status
  • Ability To "Reinstate" A Registration From Cancelled to Registered
Note, while End Users have the option to cancel their registration, they cannot then "re-enable" it. Only editors can do that.

As depicted below, I added an AJAX Tooltip window when clicking on the "Information" icon that display details on the Registration Record. I opted for a vertical display of data as opposed to horizontal as it took up less room and was easier to read I think.

Underneath this "list" of registrations, for Editors only, is a "Mass E-Mail" feature. I changes the title bar to use DNN's collapsible panel, which get's rid of that stupid tiny little "+" button that takes three of four click to actually hit it. Now the entire header bar is clickable to expend the section. One expended you will see a robust custom E-Mail editor, similar to the "Newsletter" feature. Here you can designate who to send the E-mail to, by a predesignated group status or by manually entering in E-Mail addresses. You also have a CC and a BCC feature. By default the system uses the HOST account to send E-Mails, but allows you to designate a "Reply To" person for when recipients reply. This is a handy feature for customers, like my company, that send all E-Mails out from an E-Mail address that doesn't accept replies. There is of course a Subject and Body section. Then there is an "Advanced Settings" tab that give you access to file attachments, E-Mail priority, Send Method, relay address, and send action (Synchronous or Asynchronous). All settings in the advanced section have pre-set defaults and users are not required to visit this tab.

There is also an added feature that I created which is great for my "Editors"...that is the "Send Me Sent Report". If you supply a "Reply To" address and check this box, this E-Mail address will be sent the typical "Bulk-Mail Summary" report, and below it will also be a copy of the E-Mail text that was sent. The report, just like the Newsletter Bulk-Report, shows a list of all the E-Mail addresses it was sent to, and if synchronous send mode was selected, it would tell you weather the send was successful or not.
